Founded in Japan in 2014 by multidisciplinary artist Roop Shimura, WILDFRÄULEIN is a luxury artisanal fashion brand uniting traditional Japanese garment-making with European tailoring. Guided by the philosophy “The energy makes the form, and the form makes energy,” the brand creates expressive, sculptural garments through three-dimensional pattern-making, bespoke construction and meticulous material exploration. Japanese-developed fabrics, innovative Italian textiles, antique materials, leather and metal are transformed through original dyeing, embroidery and graphic techniques. Rooted in Shimura’s background as a painter and collector, each creation is designed to reveal the wearer’s individuality and inner essence.
